Moose & Squirrel of Vaguely Vegas

In the fall of 2004 Mike Ewbank and Tommy Dean (AKA Moose & Squirrel), two mainstays of the Georgia music scene, were hired to work an event with a Las Vegas theme. They called Ken Gregory to play trumpet, valved trombone and guitar and added Omar Martinez to swing on drums and christened the quartet "Vaguely Vegas."
It's a catchy little name the alludes to the Great American Songbook titles that made up the major source of material sung by members of the notorius "Rat Pack" and other stellar talent that dazzled audiences in Las Vegas during the fifties and sixties.
Tommy sings, Mike plays piano, and together they deliver songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Nina Simone, Tony Bennett, Nat "King" Cole, and Louis Armstrong, to name a few.
If you appreciate music written by Johhny Mercer, Sammy Kahn, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Van Huesen, Harold Arlen and the Gerswin Brothers, you will love the energetic and inspired performances of Vaguely Vegas.
