While Three Sisters wines celebrate “the sense of place” (as our French brethren call it) our wines reflect our family’s many hours of dedication, character and personality. While Three Sisters wines celebrate “the sense of place” (as our French brethren call it) our wines reflect our family’s many hours of dedication, character and personality. Building upon the French concept of “terrior,” we believe wines are more than just soil, climate and farming techniques. We believe our "people" make the difference. Three Sisters Vineyards has developed certain wine styles and flavor profiles. We work hard to co-exist with each vintage Mother Nature sets. And every vintage is different. Lots of curve balls. That’s the fun and challenge of “terrior.”
Winemaking is headed by Hezzie Patrick. Grape growing is headed by Ken VanDusen. It is our belief that the best wine is made by consensus. Fine wine is produced by the efforts of everyone from the vineyard workers that help cultivate the grapes to the family blending trials in the winery. Three Sisters even incorporates visitor’s tasting opinions into our decision making. Come visit us and sample the unique East Coast wines of Three Sisters Vineyards in North Georgia.

Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery is dedicated to presenting a small family farm experience that is a destination for tourists and wine enthusiasts visiting Northeast Georgia. After purchasing the Lumpkin County property in the late summer of 1995, Sharon and Doug Paul began nearly a year of site planning for Three Sisters Vineyards.
The farm's name is inspried by the beautiful view of Lumpkin County's Three Sisters Mountain to the west. Three Sisters Vineyards, Inc. was incorporated the following summer on July 19, 1996 to cultivate the growth and production of winegrapes. Sharon Paul's brother Ken VanDusen joined the family business in October 1996 as the Vineyard Operations Manager. The Winery business was established at the end of 1999 and the first harvest and vintage was in August of 2000. The Tasting Room opened late summer in September of 2001. A little over twenty acres of grapes thrive on our mountainside property.

Three Sisters has lost part of its’ soul. Doug Paul, founding partner and visionary, died on March 7th.,2017. Oh, how we miss him! It was way back in 1995 when Doug and Sharon bought the farm and Doug said, “let’s grow a few grapes!” The rest is history and though we are all very sad, the show must go on. We’ll remember his friend

It was way back in 1995 when Doug and Sharon bought the farm and Doug said, “let’s grow a few grapes!” The rest is history and though we are all very sad, the show must go on. We’ll remember his friendly face and his overalls forever. Doug never met a stranger and always had some way to relate to everyone he encountered. He was a great winemaker, an astute businessman, and a funny guy! Full of laughter and love… rest in peace.
